Press Release Date: Thursday 27th June 2019
Human Aid UK has been working to alleviate the suffering of the needy and oppressed since 2010. In less than a decade, we have managed to successfully carry out our operations in South-East Asia, Eastern Africa, the Middle East and the UK.
When delivering your trusted donations, the charity has undertaken all measures to be transparent. This is not only through our donation policy but also through making sure your generosity is helping to change the lives of people on the ground. With this in mind, we would like to update you one of our projects which have been subjected to some unfortunate setbacks.
Rohingya Wellbeing Centre
A project which we have been planning to execute for over a year, in order to help the neglected, ill and oppressed refugees from the Rohingya has been subjected to severe delays. Due to governmental pressures on our partners, there has been a complication in completing the purchase of the entire land with the current owners. In addition to this, the local government have placed new sanctions which will not allow us to complete our objectives within the projected timeline.
We are looking to resolve the issues at hand, both with the permission of the local government and ongoing support of our partners in Bangladesh, by mid-year. We have already had a number of conducive meetings with experts and have concluded that the best course of action will be to apply the funds towards medical attention for Rohingya refugees in line with the intended purpose of donations received.
